Everyone is saying it, including me, that they can’t believe it’s nearly Christmas.  Only 5 more ‘sleeps’ to be exact!

Unlike previous years, this year I have wound back my workload making way to be more organised, (and less stressed), and especially to enjoy the little things that make Christmas fun with children.  Creating Christmas themed displays, decorating gingerbread houses, breaking bedtime curfew in favour of viewing Christmas lights around our neighborhood, watching the girls faces light up as they tuck into their Advent calendar made by their Grandma (sans lollies), reading Elf On The Shelf, and let’s not forget the nightly deed, finding a new stage for our family Elf, ‘Loveheart’.

This year we are heading to my husbands family for Christmas, and I’m proud to say I pulled off a successful family Christmas feast, thanks to Gordon Ramsays’  Honey Glazed Ham with Pear and Saffron Chutney.  Amazingly delicious and ‘clean’ Christmas ham, that is a must try easy Christmas dinner that comes with a demo video.

Guarantee, I’ll be cooking this ham recipe again, and I won’t be waiting for Christmas 2017 to indulge!

Seek true health this holiday season, eat slowly and joyfully, drink mindfully, move your body at least every couple of days, even if just for a leisurely walk, and be present with those that you love, (that’s right – put down your smart phone – I promise you won’t break into hives! ;-) and enjoy what is happening around you.
